Changelog

What shipped in each Veflow desktop release.

The desktop app checks for updates automatically. Here are the changes in each release.

1.1.1 — September 29, 2026

  • Linux builds. Veflow now builds for Linux alongside macOS.
  • Fixed an orphaned memoryd process that could keep pegging the CPU after a session ended — the app now also cleans up orphans left behind by older versions.
  • Fixed Cmd+V sometimes not pasting into the agent terminal after interacting with other panels.
  • Slimmer, macOS-style scrollbar in the agent terminal.

1.1.0 — September 25, 2026

This release adds shared agent memory and macOS computer use.

  • Veflow Memory. Connected agents can save and recall project decisions, conventions, and preferences in a shared local store.
  • Memory briefs. New sessions receive saved context about the project.
  • The memory map. Browse saved facts by project and category, inspect individual entries, and see their strength over time.
  • Agent notes, mirrored. The native-memory mirror brings supported agent memory files into Veflow. The brain icon indicates new entries.
  • Veflow Computer. The veflow computer CLI lets agents inspect and operate macOS apps. Its helper requires Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions.
  • Crash recovery. Sessions restore after an app or agent-process crash, and crash reports help with diagnosis.
  • Redesigned onboarding. A cleaner first-run flow with progress in the title bar and a welcome screen that lands you in the ADE with a live terminal.
  • Faster source control in huge repos. Directories with tens of thousands of untracked files no longer weigh the panel down — they collapse to a summary row and expand on demand.
  • Codex sessions now appear in the worktree session rail alongside Claude's.

1.0.24 — September 18, 2026

  • Media previews. Open PDFs, images, and supported video and audio files in the ADE.
  • Diagram editing. Edit draw.io and Excalidraw files in the ADE and save changes to your repository.
  • Binary diffs in source control. Changed images and diagrams show a Base | Current comparison instead of an opaque "binary changed" row.

1.0.23 — September 16, 2026

  • Fixed a spontaneous worktree switch that could move you off your branch in multi-repo projects.

1.0.22 — September 14, 2026

  • Source control auto-fetch. The panel fetches in the background and shows a ↓ badge when the remote is ahead.
  • Better worktree creation. The dialog gained a live slug input and a base-branch picker, with a warning when you branch off something unexpected.
  • Chats come back. Returning to a worktree reopens the agent session you had there — live terminals refocus, finished sessions resume.

1.0.21 — August 25, 2026

  • Fixed an app-wide freeze when a repo contained a huge untracked directory (a stray .venv with ~30k files could pin the UI). Heavy untracked folders now collapse to a placeholder and load lazily when expanded.

1.0.20 — August 25, 2026

  • Agent detection now falls back to on-disk lookups for every agent, so CLIs installed outside your login shell's PATH (e.g. ~/.local/bin) appear in the app.

1.0.19 — August 24, 2026

  • Fixed the endless "Detecting agents…" spinner caused by a login-shell probe that could hang without a timeout.

1.0.15 — August 10, 2026

  • Fixed a periodic 2–3 second UI freeze caused by usage scanning on the main thread.
  • Sessions survive app updates: mid-run agent sessions are resumed automatically after a relaunch.
  • Fixed "session expired" when connecting the mobile app by QR.
