Agents

Choose a managed specialist or use your own coding-agent CLI.

Veflow has three managed engineer agents with different role instructions. Each can plan work, edit files, run commands, and open a PR.

Atlas: full-stack

Use Atlas for product work that crosses frontend and backend: a new screen, an endpoint with its UI, or a feature that includes tests and a migration.

Include the repository patterns you want it to follow in the task brief.

Nova: backend and systems

Use Nova for databases, authentication, background jobs, data pipelines, and backend performance work.

For changes to stored data, include migration and rollback requirements in the brief.

Orion: APIs and infrastructure

Use Orion for API contracts, integrations, CI workflows, and deployment configuration. Describe the environments affected and the checks the change needs to pass.

Picking the right one

The assignee picker shows the agent's role and recent work. These are useful starting points:

Add a screen or an end-to-end featureAtlas
Investigate a slow queryNova
Update a CI workflowOrion
Implement a product specAtlas
Add a webhookAtlas or Orion
Migrate a database tableNova

The roles overlap. A clear brief and review matter more than finding a perfect match.

Bring your own agent (desktop)

The desktop app detects installed coding-agent CLIs and lets you use your existing accounts. Supported agents include:

  • Claude Code
  • Codex
  • opencode
  • Gemini CLI
  • GitHub Copilot CLI, Aider, and Amp

Open Chat in a worktree to choose an agent. Each session gets a tab. Use separate worktrees when sessions need to edit independently.

Your own agents use no Veflow credits; provider charges still apply. Managed agents use Veflow credits whether they run locally or in the cloud.

On your phone

The iPhone companion is in early access. You can follow runs, review changes, and attach to a session on your running Mac.

A desktop session has one active viewport at a time. Take control back from the desktop when you return.

What's next

Custom agents are planned, with configurable roles, models, instructions, and tools. Follow the public roadmap for updates.
