Use Claude Code, Codex, or your preferred agent in Veflow

Run your installed coding agents in Veflow's desktop workspace, with separate sessions, worktrees, and your existing provider subscription.

Use Claude Code, Codex, or your preferred agent in Veflow

Veflow's desktop app started with Claude Code. You can now choose from the coding-agent CLIs installed on your machine, including Codex, opencode, Gemini CLI, Aider, and Amp.

Each session opens beside your editor and terminal. You can use different agents across worktrees or open several sessions in the same worktree.

Choosing an agent

Open the Chat tab in a worktree without an active session. Veflow detects installed agents and shows a picker. Choose one to start it in that worktree's directory.

Detected CLIs include Claude Code, Codex, opencode, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, Aider, and Amp. Install and sign in to the CLI you want to use before starting it in Veflow.

Sessions have separate tabs in the Chat panel. Use separate worktrees when agents need to edit independently; sessions in the same worktree share files.

What it costs

Your own agents use your existing provider subscription or API key. Veflow doesn't charge credits for those runs. Any provider usage charges still apply.

The Chat panel includes usage tracking for supported agents, so you can check your limits while you work.

Solo desktop use with your own agents is free. Team collaboration and Veflow's managed services have separate plans.

Managed agents

Veflow also provides managed agents: Atlas, Nova, and Orion. These take tasks from your board, work on a branch, and open a pull request for review.

Managed AI uses Veflow credits, whether you launch it in the cloud or on desktop. Cloud runs can continue when your laptop is closed.

Use your own CLI for hands-on work with your existing setup, or a managed agent when you want Veflow to provide the model access and run environment.

Why support several agents?

You may already have an agent you like, a subscription you pay for, and instructions that fit your projects. You should be able to use that setup inside Veflow.

The worktrees, editor, terminal, and task board stay in place when you switch agents. You can try another CLI without moving the rest of your work.

Getting started

Open a repository in the desktop app, create a worktree, and open Chat. If Veflow detects several agents, choose one. If it detects just one, that agent launches automatically.
